To Cop Out of the Big Picture

When in disagreement with another outlook on the world, someone else’s actions, feelings, or beliefs, it’s important to understand what they see that causes them to act as they do.

This involves understanding qualities of the seer, their circumstances, and what they see.

It’s a cop out to call them stupid or selfish.

Assume they are seeking the best world possible and are taking a very different road to get there. If it doesn’t make sense, assume there are important factors you don’t know about. Then look again.

The broadest perspective encompasses the most other view points.

It’s not wisdom to assume most other views are the same one.
