To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

If the universe doesn’t send you emails with crystal clear directions to the perfect life, then we have something in common.

Life is really freaking confusing. We have to move around doing things, and we want those things to be good. Except we don’t know what good is, or what to do to get it, or how to move properly.

This frequently results in lives spent flopping against the walls of meaninglessness.

If you want to get all transcendental… sure, it will all work out in the end. Yep. After you die it will be okay.

But you don’t want to wait to die.

You want life to be good today.

And that is why, friends, you and I are braving the walls of meaninglessness, the towers of idiocy, the thronging masses of mediocrity… in a quest to be true to the strange wonders we were born with.

Call it what you want. I call it being yourself.

Being yourself is not that simple.

This site is about the quest. It is about the journey. It’s about hearing your intuition, honoring your oddness, doing what you love, and changing the world.

There is no quick fix.

This is the achievement of a lifetime.

It means becoming someone of true worth.

It means shining when everything you have ever believed tells you to go hide.

You and I are stalking panthers in the jungle. We are walking the tightrope over the canyon. It’s terrifying. It goes against all instincts. It’s lonely.

But it is important. It is necessary.

The world, those you love, and everything you believe in desperately needs you.

They need the real you, the best you. They need you to stand up and honor your truth.

The world has always needed people with integrity to make it worth living in. In fact, the only thing that has ever changed the world is people, one at a time, doing what they believe in. But now more than ever, we get to choose who to be, who to follow, and how to live.

The rules have changed.

Being original is now the only way to be safe.

The problem is that we just spent our whole lives being trained to hide our originality. To be normal.

Now it’s time to fight back. To dig for the truth. To break the shackles. To fly as high as you can.

So, you feeling up for a challenge?

It won’t be easy, but you can be extraordinarily you.

And look! Over there! A blog to help you with it.

I’m glad to have you with me.
